This week, a listener asked me to put together a list of books by podcast guests.
Since most of us listen to podcasts when our hands are busy folding towels, drying dishes, or gripping the wheel of a car, this struck me as a great idea.
By the time the commute is over, we need to hop out and get to work. And by the time the chores are done, we're too tired to remember that there was a book we wanted to look up in the first place.
In the end, the book that sounded so fascinating is forgotten until the next time we're busy driving, doing dishes, or folding the laundry.
So I took this dear listener's advice to heart and put together this list for your perusing pleasure.
In an effort to support an ethical online bookstore (as opposed to any potentially incredibly shady online book sellers out there, cough *largest river in the Americas* cough), I recently became an affiliate of bookshop.org. When you make a purchase from the link above, I get 10% of the sale, but the price doesn't go up for you at all! Hooray! Bookshop.org also supports local independent bookstores around the country, which makes me super happy.
Since Bookshop.org doesn't carry books by the wonderful Backcountry Press, please check out fantastic books like The Klamath Mountains: A Natural History directly from the publisher.
And if you're in the market for something other than a book, don't forget about the outstanding deck of native bee cards by Krystle Hickman or native wildflower seed shakers by SFinBloom.
Which book (or other item!) are you most excited about? I hope you find one you love or gift one to someone who's just as in awe of this glorious Earth as you are.
Stay golden,
Michelle
